How to Enable SSH and Remote Screen Sharing in Snow Leopard
- Select the Apple Menu – Click System Preferences – Sharing
- Check Remote Login
- Select the + to add the user account you want to have access than click select
- Make sure you select “Only these users:”

While on this screen Check "Screen Sharing”

- Select Computer Settings and Check VNC viewers and enter password
Enter a password that you will use to login to your computer remotely.
How to SSH into your OSX Machine
To download FileZilla, go to the http://filezilla-project.org/, click to select your Microsoft Windows operating system, and follow the installation instructions.
Launch = Applications – Filezilla

- If the usc.edu host you want to connect to is not listed under the My FTP Sites folder, click the New Site button to define it. Note: Select SFTP using SSH2 from the Server type field and make sure that the Logon type you select is Normal.
- From My FTP Sites, click the host you want to connect to.
- Type your username.
- Type your password.
- Click the Connect button.
Once you are connected, the files located on your computer will display in the Local Site window, and the files located on the remote host will display in the Remote Site window.
Transferring Files
The FileZilla user interface allows you to use the drag-and-drop method to copy files from one location to another.
- Browse to the folder where you will place the file that you are copying.
- Browse to the file you wish to copy.
Drag the file to the destination folder and drop it there.

Remote into your OSX Machine

If you know your IP address enter it below or your computer name
Ex:
Type: vnc://128.1.1.1 or vnc://mymachine.domain.com
Next you will be prompted for your user name and password.

You’re Done.
